Wishart Alluvion Hawke's Bay NZ Syrah 2005

4 Star Rating
85/100 45
An elegant rather than blockbuster Syrah with accessible flavours and a pleasing supple texture. In terms of structure, if not in flavour profile, it has a Rhone-like silkiness that’s very appealing. Raspberry, plum and pepper are the dominant characters in this fruit-focused wine with oak taking a very minor supporting role.
