The last time I tasted this wine three years ago I criticised it for being too hard and tannic. Time has softened the wine’s “Gimblett Gravel” tannins and has also released some savoury bottle development although the wine is still relatively youthful. It’s a tight, stylish and realtively austere red with bright, blackberry, blackcurrant and spicy oak flavours. With careful cellaring the wine could develop well for another 7-8 years.
