Te Mata Bullnose Hawke's Bay NZ Syrah 2008

Bullnose is one of my favourite Te Mata labels although I find this vintage slightly below par. Plump wine with chocolate, floral, berry, toasty oak and pronounced pepper (white and black) flavours. Flavours are supported by firm, rustic tannins. Needs a little more flesh and concentration to live up to its lofty standards.
