Despite its name this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Gimblett Gravels red contains more Merlot than Cabernet Franc, the smallest component in the blend. it’s a fine-boned wine with new leather, cedar, dark berry and classy oak flavours plus a suggestion of forest floor characters from bottle age. A good structure of fine, ripe tannins gives a pleasantly drying finish and provides some guarantee of longevity.
