This flagship Sauvignon Blanc of one of Marlborough’s leading producers is a consistent trophy and gold meal winner. Rich, weighty wine with little aroma but plenty of flavour. Wonderfully textural Sauvignon Blanc revealing smoky, mineral, matchstick, passion fruit, box hedge, capsicum, and nutty lees characters. Should develop well in bottle. A very complex wine that was slightly edged out of top slot by others with more drive and energy.
