Intense and luscious wine with classic Turkish delight and exotic lychee flavours plus a seasoning of spice/anise. Powerful wine with warmth and richness, it is certainly worthy of flagship status. Produced from a low-yielding vineyard in the Brancott Valley, the grapes were pressed quickly to avoid skin contact and promote a gentle texture. Flavours are ripe enough to move into the spicy end of the spectrum. The wine is moderately sweet, with 25 grams/litre of residual sugar, but perfectly balanced without any suggestion of cloying.
