The “Cash Block” vineyard is sited on deep fertile free-draining soils in and area that’s slightly cooler than most of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley and therefore boasts a slower, longer ripening period. Concentrated and pure mineral, gooseberry, red capsicum, passion fruit and subtle nettle flavours. Powerful wine with character and considerable length. There is a slight armpit/box hedge character but it adds to the wine’s overall complexity. 2009 produced the vineyard’s first crop of grapes.
