Sacred Hill Deerstalkers Hawke's Bay NZ Syrah 2007

5 Star Rating
93/100 55
Produced from grapes grown on Sacred Hill’s Deerstalkers vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels The vineyard once featured a deer stalkers clubhouse. This is one of the best examples of this flagship label I’ve tasted. Taut and powerful red with strong red fruit flavours intertwined with classy oak, spice, mushroom and black pepper characters plus a hint of floral. Firm, fine tannins suggest good cellaring potential.
