“Vendages Tardives” means literally “Late harvest”, an indication that the grapes were left for an extended period on the vine to gain extra ripeness. This is an extraordinary wine. It is quite sweet, very complex and remarkably fresh for a 12 year-old Pinot Gris. Very intense flavours display a rich medley of exotic tropical fruits, flowers and Oriental spices. Pinot Gris doesn’t get much better than this.
