I sometimes wonder why, given the ease with which good Sauvignon Blanc can be made in Marlborough, that the variety is grown in Central Otago’s sometimes challenging environment. This wine to some extent provides an answer. It has a purity and minerality that’s rarely found in Marlborough with a dry, peppery flavour profile that’s unique to this region.
