Quartz Reef produces only three wines, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and a sparkler, and they’re all top quality. This wine was made from grapes grown in their hillside Bendigo vineyard. All hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented to dryness before a ten month spell in a stainless steel tank with regular lees stirring. Pure and concentrated wine with appealing naschi pear and mineral flavours. Dry, but not searingly dry, with an impressively lengthy finish and a great mouth feel. A consistently top Central Otago Pinot Gris.
