Flagship wine from Quartz Reef's impressive hillside vineyard in the Bendigo district of Central Otago. Only made in exceptional vintages. Elegant, fine-boned, powerful wine with impressive tautness. Lean and powerful with good acidity and ripe tannins. The oak is clearly evident but nicely complements the dark cherry and spice fruit flavours. While Quartz Reefs' regular Pinot Noir from this vintage is more accessible and arguably offers more pleasure at this stage this wine is a clear favourite for the cellar.
