Moderately deep, yellow. More intensity and depth than the Riverbrook Riesling. Quite dry and very slightly phenolic with similar nutty, oxidative yeast lees characters and some mineral notes. There's a hint of rose petal on the finish which lingers. Another unusual style with more pronounced character. The lack of fruit could easily see the wine labelled as oxidised but there are no aldehydic characters that I can pick up and the wine isn't profoundly bitter. Intriguing wine.
