Soft, rich, ripe red with sweet berry, plum, spice, leather and oak flavours. An elegant and subtley powerful wine that is a welcome change from the rather more dense and tannic wines of past vintages. The wine opened up in the glass (an indication of potential bottle development) to reveal some subtle floral aromas - violets perhaps.
