Low-yielding vineyards, the oldest of which was planted in 1980, a mix of five clones for extra complexity and an uncompromising approach to quality are the driving forces behind this stylish wine. The grapes were hand-picked and carefully sorted before being whole-bunch pressed, settled and fermented in French oak barriques. It was aged on the lees in barrel for 12 months. Intense, creamy wine with great mouth feel and a featherbed texture. Masses of fruit, oak, lees and sizzled butter flavours are beautifuly integrated. This is a big, powerful and very serious Chardonnay that delivers plenty of everything.
