Deep golden colour shows remarkable development for a young wine. An unusual and distinctive Chardonnay with intense marmalade, spice and vanilla flavours. Very concentrated, mouth-filling and quite lush wine with a lovely creamy texture. Oak is evident but it’s very classy oak and nicely smothered by a generous fruity overcoat. I suspect that botrytis may have helped shape the wine, despite assurances to the contrary. Future development will soon indicate whether my suspicions are correct.
