A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Rich, weighty and dry - the Semillon component clearly contributes to the wine's impressively viscous mouth feel. Tree fruit/nectarine/white peach flavours with nutty lees adding a further dimension of complexity. Blending Semillon into Hawke's Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a logical but inspired direction that others are likely to follow. This is not the first example of such a blend but it is clearly the best I have tasted.
