When I saw Steingarten Riesling at just $13.99 my heart missed a beat. The Steingarten vineyard has produced many great Rieslings that easily justified their price at around double this level. The back label says “in honour of this icon vineyard” which means it’s a rip-off, at least in the eyes of anyone who thought they were buying a single vineyard wine. The wine’s OK - fresh, simple, limey and dry. Worth around $13.99.
