5 Star Rating
93/100 55
44 Brix. Very intense with atypical (Marlborough) Gewurztraminer characters - the wine seems to have moved beyond the lychee/Turkish delight stage to a much more exotic spicy, root ginger, honey, tropical fruit stage. Dried, rather than fresh, fruits with a drop-dead texture. Almost, but not quite, cloying sweet. Exotic and concentrated. Should be even more interesting after a few years in bottle.
