There’s plenty of gooseberry and capsicum flavours with a sugestion of red capsicum but there’s also a pleasing and subliminal suggestion of oak that adds interest without damaging varietal integrity. Dead dry wine with Marlborough character but also with a nod in the direction of Sancerre.
