Big, bold, complex and dry Pinot Gris that winemaker Larry McKenna says reflects Martinborough terroir although the stamp of terroir is rather blurred by the winemaker’s signature. Barrel-fermentation with a full malolactic fermentation and 12 months exposure to yeast lees has introduced many flavours not derived from the vineyard. It’s an immensely satisfying Pinot Gris with more flavour than most.
