Dry River Martinborough NZ Pinot Noir 2009

5 Star Rating
93/100 55
Dense, supple wine with appealing aromatics suggesting floral/violets, cherry, raspberry and spice. Layers of fruit, floral and spice flavours continue on the impressively lengthy palate. Sweet fruit is perfectly restrained by fine, fruity acidity and ripe tannins. This wine should silence the critics who claim that Dry River's Pinot Noir is an excellent dry red but is not varietal.
