Taut, elegant, powerful sparkling wine with the sort of perfumed aromatic character that I expect to find in champagne. It has an ethereal texture and delivers a pleasing mix of yeast autolysis, mineral and citrus flavours with great subtelty. Lovers of bottle aged sparkling wines can rest assured that this wine will cellar very well indeed. Champagne Deutz provided initial technical support for the development of this brand but the quality of this wine owes more to winemaker experience and good Marlborough grapes.
