Made from grapes grown in three company-owned vineyards. Grapes were hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed into French oak barriques where they were allowed to ferment using indigenous yeasts. 60% of the barrels were allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for 12 months in oak and lees-stirred weekly. Hawke’sVery attractive full-flavoured Chardonnay with strong peach and melon fruit flavours integrated with classy oak, nutty barrel fermentation characters and a mealy richness from yeast autolysis. This is a classy wine with a seamless texture and lingering finish.
