A blend of Merlot and Cabernet from Ata Rangi’s own Martinborough vineyard with Hawke’s Bay Syrah. This fascinating label has varied from good to great in the approximately two decades it has been made. The excellent 2006 vintage had produced a very good example with interesting berry and spice flavours supported by a backbone of firm drying tannins. Bordeaux-like - it promises to age well.
