Astrolabe earns my vote for being New Zealand’s leading Sauvignon Blanc maker. This is the best of four Sauvignon Blanc labels that include two wines from Kekerengu which is on the coast half way between Blenheim and Kaikoura. This is an intensely flavoured wine with the classic Awatere characters of tomato leaf, green capsicum, nettle, mineral and gooseberry. Assertive Sauvignon Blanc with character and class.
